Welcome to the pbm Academy
Anemia is an underrated problem in Germany, but one that often has considerable health implications for patients. The Academy sets out to promote Patient Blood Management (PBM) by providing information, events, and a programme of support for education, research, and a multi-disciplinary concept aimed to improve quality of care. Through its support programme, the Academy funds projects designed to ensure that Patient Blood Management is applied at all levels throughout Germany and thus to improve treatment quality for patients.

This is what experts say about PBM
When it comes to Patient Blood Management, the quality of care and thus the benefits for the patient must be the primary consideration. Unfortunately, in Germany too many doctors and patients are still unaware of the benefits of Patient Blood Management. This needs to change in line with ensuring high quality care.
