2018 Capital City Conference: Billions can be saved by avoiding anaemia

Berlin, 6 June, 2018: Effective patient blood management (PBM) enables the reduction of more than simply the medical risks of surgical procedures. Every year, up to 1.3 billion euros could also be saved in Germany's health services in direct costs and up to 24 billion in indirect costs due to illnesses. This is indicated by a medical-economic analysis based on DRG data presented at the "2018 Capital City Medical and Health Conference".
